The Sabbatical Sofa is made to order and by hand here in Long Island City, New York. Inspired by an antique roll-top sofa we encountered in an English library, we set out to design a sitting experience that would give the impression of settling into a clawfoot bathtub: you’ll want to make time for it, and stay awhile.

This version of the Sabbatical Sofa is covered in a printed linen on the interior sides, and antique French hemp ticking on the exterior sides. But we are happy to use any material you choose.
