A PAIR OF ART DECO SIDE TABLES
SOLD
Finnish
1930s
Lacquered wood, glass, nickel
13 3/4″ wide x 27 1/2″ deep x 25″ high
A sleekly curvaceous Art Deco design, exemplary of the period, but with a unique profile. The thick molded glass tops sit on visible, cruciform supports with softly-sculpted nickel ends.
In Finland and Sweden, the Art Deco period was distinguished from the French version, by tending towards elegant allusions to classical architecture.
