19th century
Wood, rope
21 3/4″ wide x 16 1/2″ deep x 34 3/4″ high (seat height 15 1/2″)
A diminutive chair with a rope seat and its original blue painted surface, beautifully proportioned, and with the armrests worn smooth as beach stones. To our eyes this chair is pure poetry.
