Paavo Tynell chandelier
Paavo Tynell was one of the founders and the chief designer of Taito Oy. His innovations earned him the unofficial title of “the man who illuminated Finland.” This chandelier was produced as Tynell’s fame was spreading beyond Finland through his involvement with Finland House, a restaurant, gallery and offices located on 50th Street in New York. It has a graceful, feminine buoyancy. Stamped and manufactured by Taito Oy, model 9032. The vellum shades are original and in excellent condition.
