Gustav Bertelsen was a cabinetmaker noted for the exceptional quality of his work. From the 1930s to the 1960s, he produced furniture for some of the most respected Danish designers, from Flemming Lassen to Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen.
This chest of drawers doubles as a secretaire. The third drawer from the top opens out to provide a writing surface. The walnut is matched so that the grain of the top meets that of the sides in a stunning waterfall effect. With elegant original brass hardware.
