Danish ceramicist Svend Hammershøi was the brother of painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, into whose pensive interior works this lamp might have found a perfect place. His designs are distinguished by their pleasing shapes and ageless surface quality. This glaze was his trademark.
Dimensions of the lamp in the shade pictured are 16″ high x 10″ wide x 7 1/2″ deep.
