Arne studied painting in Malmö and Copenhagen, and in France after the Second World War.
His work can be found in the collections of the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Malmö Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Ystad Art Museum, Helsingborg City Museum, Höganäs Museum and Art Gallery, the Regional Museum Kristianstad, Landskrona Museum, Eskilstuna Art Museum, Eksjö Museum, Vadsbo Museum, Alingsås Museum, and others.
This poetically turbulent depiction of the sea attains an Expressionistic serenity, and brings to mind both the experimental sky studies of proto-Impressionist, JMW Turner, and the more lyrical abstractions of the New York School.
