Guido Gambone (1909-1969) was a leading Italian ceramicist of the 20th century. He had a prolific career, serving as the director of the Industria Ceramica Salernitana in 1935 before moving to Florence to work with Cantagalli ceramics. He later founded his own workshops, “La Faenzarella” and “La Tirrena”. His innovative methods earned him awards and international recognition, including exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum and at the 25th Venice Biennale. More recently, an exhibition of his ceramic art was on display at the Consulate General of Italy in New York.
