6 Bruno Mathsson ‘Kerstin’ Dining Chairs for Dux

31 ½” high x 17 ¾” wide x 17 ¾” deep (seat height 17”)
Bruno Mathsson conceived the Kerstin chair for Dux Möbel when he was 72. He had been designing furniture for 50 years at that point, and had a pretty good idea of what was comfortable and stylish (supposedly, he based the contours of his chairs on the impression his body made in a snow bank). The chair is balletic in appearance–thin, light, strong and graceful at once. It is in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in England, among others.
This set of six is in excellent vintage condition. The original leather seats are soft and supple, the fine caning is barely worn.
