After studying under Kaare Klint, Børge Mogensen became one of the founding designers of Fredericia in Denmark, and helped to bring Danish modern design to global attention. The “Folkestolen” or “The People’s Chair” is one of our favorites of his creations. Mogensen wanted to make a chair that could be used by everyone, focusing on comfort and durability without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. This early set is in wonderful condition, made from solid oak with original handwoven paper cord seats.
