Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984) believed “there is no life without aesthetics.” As a leading architect in Denmark in the early to mid-20th century, his designs embodied this sentiment. Some of his most famous buildings include Copenhagen Airport’s first terminal, the Radio House in Frederiksberg, and the Danish Embassy in Washington. Throughout his career, he also designed for known furniture and lighting companies, including this table lamp from his collaboration with Louis Poulsen.
