DENMARK
1940s
Mohair velvet, stained beech
27 1/2″ wide x 33″ deep x 34″ high (seat height 14″)

A clean-lined modernist easy chair with a high back that curves subtly inward. Design attributed to the Danish cabinet maker Jacob Kjaer, who like the best of his contemporaries was inspired by English furniture and was able to adapt it to modern taste without sacrificing quality of materials or construction. Fully restored and re-covered in a gray Knoll mohair velvet.
