Arne studied painting in Malmö and Copenhagen and in France after the Second World War. He was known for his landscapes, seascapes, and still life paintings.

This work is a wonderful depiction of the moment when sea and sky meet and become one changeable element, when the eye is filled with the abstract color fields formed of light and water.
