Carl Malmsten was a Swedish architect and designer who advocated the use of Swedish materials and artisanal traditions. Malmsten described the home as “an intimate place for gathering and repose,” and his designs elegantly fulfill that purpose. They possess a timeless style and adaptability.

The “Farmor” or “Grandmother” lounge chair was developed by Malmsten in the 1950s. This iconic design was meant to convey a distinct sense of comfort and warmth through its curved backrest and delicately rounded armrests. Recovered in a curly shearling and suede, this chair exemplifies Malmsten’s approach of cozy elegance.
