Ward Bennett was a classic self-made American, dropping out of school at age 13 to work in New York City’s Garment District. By 16, he had moved to Europe to design clothes. He was mostly self-taught, learning from the people he admired. Eventually, he returned to New York, where he became renowned for his industrial designs. His furniture is known for its clean lines and superlative comfort.

This luxuriously long, modern sofa has been reupholstered in an ivory Belgian linen, with down-filled cushions. Sofa floats on six casters.
