Jette Gemzøe (b. 1942) is a much-exhibited Danish textile artist who has had her own weaving workshop in Copenhagen since 1965. This is one of her later works, a large “carpet” or wall hanging in bold, graphic designs of blue, red and orange against the natural background of the woven bast. This piece has been exhibited at both the Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket and the Trapholt Museums in Denmark.
