This metal stacking chair is probably the best known furniture design of the influential French architect and designer Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945). It was created for the Art Menagers exhibition of 1936. We have added a matching leather seat. Seen here with a secretaire from the same period, designed by Mogens Koch. The pair also pictured with a Swedish writing table and leather-wrapped lamp.
