The Norrlanda lamp is a collaboration between Lawton Mull and Jennie Olofsson (founder of Glasstudion Big Pink in Gotland, Sweden whose beautiful glasses and carafes can be purchased in our gallery).

The sloping brass wings are cut and welded in Long Island City by local artisans, after which Jennie blows glass into each brass frame until it forms thick asymmetrical lobes between the blades. The design marries the industrial and the organic. The weight and volume of the glass come as a surprise given the way it moves with the light.
