Some of the best Scandinavian furniture makers of this period were inspired by the Shakers. This deceptively simple design brings to mind Borge Mogensen’s Shaker dining table. The details of this version: the paddle feet, the quietly widening legs, the proportions of the base. All these decades after it was made, it still strikes a fresh and modern note.
