Pair of Louis XV Style Silver Candlesticks

This pair of Italian silver candlesticks appear to be from the mid-18th Century. The coat-of-arms engraved at the base, with a ducal cornet and symbols of a watchtower and bird in flight, suggests their origin in the Papal States, or what is now the central Italian region that includes Umbria and Marche. Freshly polished, and ready for candle-lit dinners that last long into the night.
