The Aesthetic movement was a breath of fresh air in the overstuffed parlor of Victorian design. Case in point, this delicate pair of chairs. The faux bamboo, black-painted frame with its sharp geometry is softened by the turned circular splat and honey-colored cane seat. Imagine one of them in a guest bath, balancing a few neatly folded towels, or the pair side by side in an entry hall.
