Danish architect and designer, Kay Kørbing, was known for his interior design of the M/S Winston Churchill and M/S Princesse Margrethe in the mid 20th century. This particular design was commissioned for the M/S Princesse Margrethe, but was also installed at the Radisson Royal Hotel in Copenhagen alongside Arne Jacobsen’s furniture designs.
The solid brass cylinder has become richly patinated. When illuminated, light glows through the layer of thick crystal.
