This pendant sculptures is one of a pair: King and Queen, two steel jellyfish. They are grave and weightless at once, and seem to straddle the organic and the industrial. Please see our separate listing for King.

Welz is a New York City-based artist whose interests range widely through the fields of sculpture and design. She has studied biomimicry in Belize, guided furniture-design students in Guyana, and founded the Association of Women Industrial Designers. Welz’s work is included in private and public collections around the world.
