Estrid Ericson & Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn
25” wide x 17” deep x 27 1⁄4” high

Estrid Ericson, founder of the influential Stockholm home decor institution Svenskt Tenn, was also an accomplished designer in her own right. Toward the end of the 1930s, she and Josef Frank joined forces and created some of the most iconic and collectible designs of the Scandinavian Modern era.

This delicate casket of painted parchment and brass hardware is lined with a peacock-blue fabric and rests on a base designed by Josef Frank. The well-worn surface is testament to its use over the years. We find the wabi-sabi fading of the images to be quite moving.
