Fritz Hansen opened the doors of his Copenhagen workshop in 1885. With the help of his son Christian, the company soon established its reputation for outstanding quality and forward-looking design. They went on to collaborate with some of the masters of the Danish modern era, from Kaare Klint to Arne Jacobsen to Verner Panton.
This is an exceedingly comfortable easy chair from the late 1930s/early 1940s with a handsome profile and soft Scandinavian shearling upholstery.
