Frits Henningsen was both a designer and a cabinet-maker. He cared deeply about quality, and was uncompromising in his execution. He considered every detail, and as a result his furniture is both built to last and aesthetically timeless.

A set of six slender dining chairs in an extremely rare design. The frame is deceptively simple. Observe the subtle curve of the top rail, ending in the ornamental gesture of an elegant lozenge shape carved into the stile to echo the shape of the rail. The back legs gently taper, the Cuban mahogany is carved to reveal the beauty of the wood grain and richness of its colors. Reupholstered in horsehair with leather welt. Impressed with Frits Henningsen’s studio numbers.
