Daedalus Table

Daedalus Table

A bespoke gilt iron table whose neoclassical lines are inspired by a mid-century French design. Under glass are arranged 2,000 iridescent pheasant feathers. The hue changes depending on the light, or the angle from which they are viewed. We like the contrast between the restrained lines of the frame and the undulating flow of the feathers, between the mottled gold and the sleek blue-green, between the heft of the metal and the implied buoyancy of the feathers. Named for Daedalus, the legendary craftsman who built the maze which imprisoned the Minotaur, and flew on wings of his own design. The Daedalus table is available to order, and includes several profiles–rectangular and circular coffee tables, end tables, a console table, and a center table–with a variety of tops and finishes. The entire table is built to order here in New York City. Read more about the evolution of the design here, or contact us to discuss a custom order.
